NEXT BOARD MEETING
The Board meets the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM. At the February meeting, the Board agreed to alternate meeting locations between the Joint Water Purification Plant (JWPP) at 8051 South Jordan Road and the Meeting House at 8334 Sandreed Circle, Parker, Colorado 80134. Odd months will be held at the JWPP and even months at the Meeting House. See the link below for the current meeting agenda and location.
Regular meetings may be changed and Special meetings and public work sessions may be scheduled with notification at least 24 hours before on our website per State Statute. Please check our website for updates. These meetings are open to the public.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors consists of five elected citizens (must be a registered voter living in the District or a registered voter owning property in the District). In the event of a board vacancy, the existing Directors can appoint a temporary director to serve until the next regularly scheduled election.

ABOUT THE DISTRICT
The Cottonwood Water & Sanitation District (CWSD), is classified as a quasi-municipal corporation and political subdivision of the State of Colorado. The District was created pursuant to Article 1 of Title 32 C.R.S. for the purpose of providing reliable water supply and sanitary sewer systems to its commercial, residential, and irrigation water users. The District was formed in 1981 and is run by a five-member, volunteer Board of Directors (Registered Colorado voters and Cottonwood property owners). The District is managed by Mulhern MRE, Inc. a company specialized in serving Colorado’s special districts since 1991. District Service Map
MANAGEMENT
The District is managed by Mulhern MRE, Inc, ("MMRE"). MMRE's staff has provided management, administration, engineering, planning, design, construction management, customer service and financial management for many years. The District contracts with the Inverness Water and Sanitation District for system operating services. The Inverness operators perform a complete range of water and wastewater system services for the District. These operators are under the direction of MMRE staff. That is why you will see Inverness maintenance vehicles working in Cottonwood.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COTTONWOOD WATER AND SANITATION, THE COTTONWOOD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT AND THE COTTONWOOD HIGHLANDS METROPOLITAN DISTRICTS?
Cottonwood Water provides water and sewer (wastewater) services to the Cottonwood residents. The Cottonwood Metropolitan and the Cottonwood Highlands Metropolitan Districts have different boundaries than the Water District and provide open space, parks and recreation services.
